Art Relief Concert 2009

Posted by MarkJason On November - 7 - 2009

Art Relief 2009!
Togther we raised 3500+ dollars! Great music from very talented musicians and poets.
AJ Rafael was pretty good. I really liked The Adrian William Project gotta get their CD. Cathy Nguyen is a beautiful talent. My girlfriend got a picture with her “crush” RuSoul and he performed well and we all had a great time with a huge turn out. Although we didn’t sell any art, I don’t think anyone did really it was more like the T-Shirt vendors were getting sales. I did get some requests about my crushed can heart design and making them into shirts. So we’ll just have to see if I have the time to get another screen made so I can re-print that design on some shirts for you guys!

Happy Birthday To Me!

Happy birthday to me! and the Chargers Won!

Chicken Feet

Chicken Feet

Last night we went out to Bourbon St which was bout 5 blocks from kamille’s place. It was my first time there and we all had a blast although we didn’t win the hallowen costume contest as the rainbow it was fun.

Four hours of sleep later i woke up 25. Didn’t feel any different, did you? Got ready for dim sum lunch with kamille and friends at Lucky Star Seafood. Most of them had never had dim sum before and it was fun to just try everything, even I tried the chicken feet.

About another four hours of rest it was time to have dinner and cake with my fam at home. Golden chopsticks and Hans and Harrys chocolate macadamia cake. Yum! Thank you for the book babe, and thanks to the parents for the iPhone 3GS. Love you

Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT! WOW Such a great Talent. This was not only a movie but a concert as well, although it wasn’t a complete performance it felt like we were there during dress rehearsals.  The female  guitarist, Orianthi was sick,  she ripped all through the solos. Judith Hill one of the tour vocalists was also the one who sang Heal the World at MJ’s Memorial.

G9 and I caught up with Angeline and Aldrey @ Island’s next door to the Theater, we ate and we ate good right before the movie, no overpriced food and concessions! Thanks again Angeline for getting the tickets!

So just came back from the Midnight Premier of WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. It was an awesome thrilling movie and comedic. Quoting KW:

I’ll eat you up I love you so

It’s a great watch for psych rotation. Try to guess what psychological disorder each one has. Loved the soundtrack. I give it 9/10.

Jason Mraz Live in S.D

Great benefit show!! They labeled it pay what you want, reserved seats were only a buck, lawn seating was free! I went with G9, Melissa, and Brian, met up with Grise and Caro because we bought our tickets at the same time and got seats next to each other. G9′s cousin from Riverside were there too but we didn’t get to catch up because their phones died.

Brett Dennen and Jason Mraz were both great performers. Jason Mraz really knows how to work the crowd and is a top showman. I got my T1i into the venue along with a 300mm lens, but damn, we were in the 301 section which isn’t as far the lawn. These were the best we could take. The rest is on my flickr which you can connect to on the right side of the website.

Glee S01-E07

Posted by MarkJason On October - 14 - 2009

New episode tonight. This show is so awesome. If you haven’t seen or heard definitely check it out. A couple of the dead or killed off Heroes cast are on the show. Heres the plot line from imdb:

A high school Spanish teacher becomes the director of the schools Glee club, hoping to restore it to its former glory.

Real choreography and singing, well maybe some of the singing is dubbed i’m not entirely sure, but its a great entertaining comedy that makes you want to relive your high school days.
